With so much on all of our plates, it’s easy to sometimes feel overwhelmed, frustrated, disappointed, and pressured, which could lead to stress and maybe even a bit of anger and resentment. You might even feel “stuck” there.
Does this sound familiar? I’ve been there. It’s so normal to feel these things periodically, and the trick is to find our way out of those feelings and into feelings of calm, ease, peace, and feeling supported, and encouraged.
But how do we do that? The first thing is to acknowledge and validate the feelings without attaching judgment to them. Simply, they are what they are. Yes, they may feel bad, but they make you aware that something you value is being challenged. What is that thing? Once you look at the feelings and become aware of how they are working for you, or not working, then you can decide what you really want.
How do you really want to feel? If that is a feeling of peace, calm, and ease, then how do you achieve that? What do those feelings look and feel like to you? What would need to change for you to achieve those new feelings of calm, ease, and peace? The answer to that is individual to you. You get to decide. How great is that? You are in the driver's seat.
I recently went through this exercise with a coach, and the result produced a powerful shift for me that instantly brought about ease, support, and peace. It’s like a weight was lifted off of me, and I could move out of my “stuck” place and back into a place of productivity and joy.
I could get back to the things I wanted to accomplish that day and keep moving forward toward success. In understanding what was holding me back, I could shift my thinking and feelings in a way that gave me more awareness, clarity, and focus on achieving my peak performance.
The key was that I found a way to “get unstuck”, and my coach helped me to do that. Sometimes when we’re stuck, we just need a little help, and for me, coaching is so helpful. It’s an objective eye to help me examine the situation, and it’s a place where I can be vulnerable without fear of judgment.
It’s a place where I can build my success plan for when I need to handle these situations again. It’s a place of learning and growth that supports my own desire of fearless living.
Coaches are here to partner with you through all the situations that impact your life. So, if this has got you thinking about how coaching could help you, then it may be time to consider checking it out.
Here's to a life of passion, positivity, joy, fulfillment, and more!
